As Fundraising Counsel to Hirondelle USA, an organization that helps build and sustain independent radio media in post-conflict countries primarily located in West Africa (2014-2015), Rachel’s work includes the creation of a development plan with accompanying individual donor and foundation prospect lists, research profiles, and gift pyramids to project and map donor cultivation, progress, and income. In addition, Rachel provides ongoing mentoring for Executive Director on all issues pertaining to fundraising, board development, expansion, and board meeting preparation, as well as guidance on effective strategies for cultivation events, comprehensive edits of all fundraising and outreach materials, donor research, staff structuring, timelines for all organization’s fundraising activities, and appropriate “asking” and donor maintenance strategies.
